greys anatomy

Grey's Anatomy

Grey's Anatomy, a drama revolving around 5 surgical interns and their tragedies, romances, losses, and struggles, holds the palce as one of my favorite shows. It mainly follows Meredith Grey, a female protagonist, and the viewers watch as she goes through various relationships, friendships, and challenges. Taking place in Seattle, viewers watch doctors and interns tackle challenges way bigger than imagined. I personally love Grey's Anatomy because it takes viewers on a rollercoaster of emotion: happiness, anger, sadness, excited, and many more. If you ever have a lot of time on your hands and are in the mood to make some new imaginary friends to fall in love with, Grey's Anatomy is the show for you!

friends

Friends

Friends, a TV drama revolving around 6 best friends in the midst of NYC, focuses on Monica and Ross Geller, the dynamic sibling duo. It also includes Rachel Greene, Monica's high school best friend, Chandler Bing, Ross's college roommate, Joey Tribbiani the lovable but stupid roommate to Chandler, and Phoebe Buffet the hipster and secret-past addition to the group. Friends uses witty humor and light jokes that make viewers laugh, and I personally have watched this show 8 times because it is just so good!! I recommend this show to all of you who have a broad sense of humor and want short episodes to pass the time.

the office

The Office

The Office, a comedy show, revolves around the filming of an office documentary where viewers laugh, cry, and sometimes cringe. The documentary follows a company, "Dunder Mifflin," which includes a goofy manager, a nerdy assitant to the regional mifflin, a funny salesman, a quirky but lovable receptionist, and so many more departments. The show reveals the realism of what it is like to work with friends and significant others, while documenting the hardship of being an adult. I personally love The Office and it has become my favorite show over the past couple years. Through every episode I am guaranteed to laugh, and I have a love for the characters and their personalities. The people are real and I feel so much as if I can relate to them. If you ever need a laugh or need to cringe about other's embarassements, The Office is the show for you!

the vampire diaries

The Vampire Diaries

The Vampire Diaries, known as TVD to die-hard fans, is a supernatural teen drama involving two vampires, Stefan and Damon, and their interest in Elena Gilbert, a normal highschool student. The contrasting personalities between Stefan and Damon wreak Havoc on Mystic Falls, Virginia, leaving viewers interested and intrigued. Personally, I fall victim to TVD for the love interests and romance storylines. I think The Vampire Diaries remains a perfect show for teenagers, but if you are easily spooked, maybe don't watch this show at night! However, for all of you out there who believe in magical realism and are a sucker for romance, fighting, tragedy, and mixed emotions, this is the perfect show to binge.

that '70s show

That '70s Show

Stupid Humor. Sarcasm. Jokes so dry they make you laugh. Hilarious characters.
All are words or phrases to describe That '70s Show. If you are not a fan of stupid humor (jokes/humor that is not truly funny, yet you laugh), then I suggeste you turn to another show. However, I enjoyed the witty comments and sarcasm, along with the funny relationships. Set in the suburbs of Wisconsin, the show follows highschool teenagers who mainly do whatever they want. The gang spends a lot of time in one of the main character, Eric's, basement. They ponder their lives and futures while getting into hilarious accidents throughout all their adventures. My favorite dynamic of the show is the main relationship between Jackie and Kelso, played by Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher. Overall, this show is not the best for people who want to watch episode after episode and be deeply involved; instead, it remains a light show that I like to turn on when I need a laugh or when I am cleaning up and need a background TV show!

gilmore girls

Gilmore Girls

For all of you Netflix watchers who have a close relationship with your mom, this show is a must-watch. Gilmore Girls revolves around mother Lorelai and daughter Rory Gilnore as they live simple lives in a small town in Connecticut. The town is extremely close as the population does not have a high number, and one of my favorite elements of the show is how there is rarely any drivin, seeing as everyone is close enough to walk to the Town Square, and this community gathers together for various events throughout the year. Gilmore Girls centers around the relationshipbetween mother and daughter, as Rory grows up and works hard to make it into Yale. Overall, this story has funny moments, seeing as Lorelai has an ideal sense of humor, along with her best friend and chef Sookie. It has the type of love stories where you wait forever, just hoping your two favorite characters can be together. And lastly, it makes you want to check in with your own family and friends, for a sense of closeness. I loved this show and have watched it twice all the way through, and every episode has managed to make me smile.

gossip girl

Gossip Girl

Taking place in the privileged, rich area of Manhattan's Upper East Side, Gossip Girl follows several characters at an exclusive prep school as one social media user, known as Gossip Girl, shares the inside scoop on scandals and heartache about the main characters. The two girls, Blair Waldorf and Serana Van der Woodsen, are always in the midst of chaos, along with Chuck Bass and Nate Archibald. When a low-income family, Dan and Jenna Humphrey, start attending the exclusive school, problems ensue. I love this show because the dramakept me on the edge of my seat, the relationships are so interesting because you don't see some coming and others you wait forever in hopes of them being together, and lastly, because Gossip Girl's identity remains a mystery until the end. This show is perfect for teenagers to binge watch because the issues of highschool drama and love, bullying, and coping with stress all make an appearance; however, they are very dramatic, which can leave readers engaged with a laugh.

stranger things

Stranger Things

Stranger Things, a Netflix Original that has gained popularity worldwide, is one of my favorite shows that I am able to watch with my dad and sisters. In 1980s Indiana, a group of young friends witness supernatural forces and secret government exploits. As they search for answers, the children unravel a series of extraordinary mysteries that blow their minds, and my mind! A group of boys introduce "El" short for "Eleven" into their world and protect her from the government because she has unbelievable powers that can fight off the mystical "Mind Flayer" that is haunting their town. I absolutely loved this show and have seen it many times. It makes me smile, laugh, cry, and stare in awe. I highly suggest this show for viewers who want to be engaged and surprised!
